Forewords

Dear friends, 

On November 22nd the first Schulich Mini-Symposium will take place. We are very pleased to have Professor Dirk Trauner from Berkley as our Mini-Symposium guest, and hear his plenary lecture as well as six shorter oral presentations given by chosen graduate students from our department. Last, but not least, we will have a great opportunity to speak science and to see what our friends and neighbors in different research groups are working on. I hope that it is a beginning of a new tradition, and that such faculty days will take place annually.
